9 Tips to Boost Your Online Sales

All online entrepreneurs are looking for measures to boost their online sales. After talking to several start-ups, I discovered that many of their strategies to boost online sales are simply trial and errors. Some of it is a token of common sense that always evolves constantly.

These things have become simpler to me, that is, what I consider the working strategies when it comes to boosting your online sales. I will share here.



1. Your online shop should be mobile ready: If you never knew, percentage mobile traffic to websites is increasing in a speed of light. All you need to do is to take advantage of the marketing trend to monetize your mobile traffic on the go. Get your online shop to be mobile ready by creating apps for your marketplace.

2. Be unique and specific
If you look around, you’ll discover that many businesses deal with more than one product or service.  That’s great. Besides, their home page should focus on a particular and specific key offer that appeals their visitors. Of course, they can be later forward to a whole line of services or product. My advice is – keep it simple and do not overwhelm your website visitors.    

3. Try and be affable in business:
I will like to categorise this into common sense but there are more to it than just being said.

It’s not enough for you to have great product or service.

Of course, people will not like to buy from your business if they do not like you. Simple! Settle the curiosity of your potential buyers. Here your interest (what you want from the deal) becomes secondary to your customers needs (what you can do for them). Learn how to communicate that into their psyche and you’ll reap the benefits.

5. Rephrase your sales copy:

Copies that carries pronouns such as “I, we and me” should be replaced with “you and your”. This is subtle but it’s an effective shift in tone can help convert leads to action.

6.  Stay on first page in search:
You’ll agree with me that 90 percent of search engine visitors don’t click the second page of any search engine results. Do you want to sell more on your site? Simply stay in the first page if not number one.

7. Be trustworthy:
 So many people can say they are perfect at something. Yes, very successful few can back this up with industry based credibility.

Your ability to gain recognition with valuable outbound sources and your ability to relate back to it on your website is what will make a difference. This creates a real and perceived assessment for your product or service.   

8. Give visitors a reason to trust you:
There are a lot of people that can say they are good at something. There are few of them that backs it up with industry credibility.

9. Inform, don’t sell:
Yes, if you position yourself as a resource, people will come for advice because they trust you. At the end of the day, you won’t need to persuade them to buy from you because the decision to make purchase will be automatic.
