How to Fine Inspiration as a Graphic Designer

Most influential people that make money online are those with particular skills to render needed services, such as graphic design. They render their services in so many popular platforms and get paid for it.

Sometimes, graphic designing could be such a herculean task if ideas and inspirations are not there. As a graphic designer, you seemingly create everything from nothing, then tweak it to appeal the senses and portray a particular meaning to viewers. Here are simple tips to get inspired when you have a graphic design projects.

How to Fine Inspiration as a Graphic Designer

1. Over the place
I find inspiration all over the place. Most of the time, you may be inspired by another designer, something fresh that you haven't seen before that really stands out. Look around your vicinity , you’ll  see patterns and shapes in your day-to-day life that inspire you.

2. Through Interactions
Interacting with humans often always can give you inspiration, perhaps on a deeper level. That feeling when you connect with someone may always fill you with excitement and gives you just what  you need to create.

See this personal experience from an armature graphic designer from Detroit, “ … am inspired by conversations I hear around me, when I'm sitting in class, and I overhear two students talk about some game that they played, I imagine it, and then later, these images begin to take shape on my computer. Other times it just happens, I'll be writing a paper, and out of nowhere, get up, walk to my laptop, and begin designing something, like a weapon to be used by one of my many roleplay characters
This is amazing, isn’t it?

3. From Random Patterns
Another important source of inspiration for many attractive designs are random patterns.  I discover many of this fantasy when I am on travels. I saw a trailer house with siding made from wooden pallets. I thought it was brilliant. I took a picture of the texture to use as a background for a site. It looks authentic, rustic, and natural, all at the same time. I'll see color combinations on packaging, often packaging from imported products from other countries, and I'll photograph it and save the color combinations for future use. The only inspiration I wasn't able to profit from was attempting to reconstruct the iridescence from a beetle I found. I could not mimic the dynamic colors no matter how hard I tried.

From Nature and Other People’s Work
Most graphic designers get inspiration mainly from work of nature, but as well as seeing other peoples work.
According to Andre, “Graphic designing allows me to express my thoughts and feelings in a way of images instead of text because we have to keep in mind that a picture isn't always how it's seemed”.
The meaning behind them is developed mainly by the viewer and how they interpret it which makes it a great way of displaying emotions.
The truth is that most designers (not only graphic designers) find their inspiration in other peoples work.

The formula is: Be inspired and then create something new from it. Otherwise it would just be replication.

Of course there are people who come up with brand new ideas and some that find inspiration in other people’s work only now and then instead of all the time.

I imagine that with time you have seen so much from other people that you will get inspired by things you have seen without even knowing it.

Yes, It's so true that sometimes you just can't find inspiration when you need it. It happens time and again and What you feel really depends on your environment and surroundings.

From Nick “…when I'm out and away from my work-space, I feel things around me inspire me naturally. I don't feel the need to go look for it, it just comes randomly.”
