Why I prefer Google Chrome to Firefox (My Judgement!)

I used to be a huge Firefox fan, until, right about the time Chrome was starting to get popular, Firefox started consuming a lot more resources on my computer than it used to.

Seeing that Firefox's updates weren't taking it in the right direction, and it was becoming slower and more bloated I made the switch.

Now I've been on Chrome for some years and I see it going in the same direction, it seems to be getting slower (at least for me), I'm wondering if I should try going back to Firefox or if there are any other Browsers I should give a shot.

What do you think?
At the moment, Chrome is still the most popular/best browser. Safari is quite a good browser and it's clean and fast, the only downside to Safari is that it might not have as many extensions/browser addons as Chrome or Firefox.

Chrome is still the best web browser in terms of speed and extension capability. Firefox has gotten a lot of bad rep over the years but recently it has risen to become one of the best browsers for sure.
Really, the differences between the main browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Opera, Safari) are probably going to be very minimal, and it honestly just comes down to your personal preferences. Personally, I use Chrome just because I like the way it looks and I like how I can sync all of my bookmarks across my devices.

Chrome or Chromium based browers will work just fine but honestly you won't notice much of a different from Firefox. If you are a big fan of addons then you will certainly miss Firefox once you switch.

Google Chrome. It is better compared to other browsers. It has the best browsing speed, can play flash videos, slicky, smooth and simple. There are many advanced features such as built-in applications, extensions, autofill features etc.

If you find Firefox is using too many resources you could try a few things:

  • -Enable any addons/plugins you have one at a time and check to see if any of them significantly increases memory/cpu usage, you might discover that one has gone haywire and can report or remove it
  • -Try changing your browsing habits, I find that I have several tabs open at once and after a while this seems to cause memory leaks
  • - Pale Moon: an optimised version of Firefox https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pale_Moon_(web_browser)

Like you, I sometimes notice the performance issues with Firefox but with all the extensions and control it gives me, I don't think I could move away.
