The most interesting aspect of this business is that you can start with as little as $6 and expect your profit margin to be as high 100% - 1000% or more. You can purchase a domain with $6 - $10, develop it and flip it at much as $500 and above making a whooping profit. In this business the profit margin is very high that is why I love it.

What you need to Start

1. Internet Access: you need internet access to start this business. You can do it if you have a modem or you can do it in cyber café too.
2. A Personal Computer, Laptop, I pad or other high end mobile devices.
3. A debit or Credit Card: The one I use is Zenith Bank Naira MasterCard. You can also use debit card from other commercial banks in Nigeria such as GT Bank, Platinum, First Bank etc.
4. An email address: If you do not have an email address, consider creating one. I recommend Gmail of Yahoo mail. Don’t have email? Try and create one for yourself.

Buy a domain name:

You can begin to think of a domain name that (1) has not been registered (2) that is suitable for a particular business e.g; yourdomain.com.  You can choose any other domain name extension 

Go to Goddady.com and signup. Goddady is the world largest domain name register. Click on log in and select new customer, fill in the form to become Goddady customer. Use the domain search engine as shown in the picture. Put your domain there and click search. If your domain is available, you follow the directives; fill in your debit card details to purchase the domain.

How Much Will You Buy Domain Name?

Goddady offer coupons that you can use to buy domain names as cheap as $1.99. Just Google ‘Goddady Coupon’ and you will be amazed with the results that you will see. Try different coupons til you find your needed amount

You can also buy domains that were already registered but deleted maybe because the registrar is not maintaining it again or expired. This domains are very valuable because some of them high Google page rank and well traffic

Where to flip domain names: There are so many online market places where you can list your domain name for sale. Once someone buys a domain name from you, it means that you have flipped the domain. flippa.com is the biggest marketplace where you can buy and sell domain  and websites, though they charge fee for auction listing.
